Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 April 2026. This policy explains how TopBitSchool Education Pvt. Ltd. collects, uses and protects your personal information.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by TopBitSchool Education Pvt. Ltd., a private limited company incorporated in India under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office at Prestige Atrium, 3rd Floor, 1 Central Street, MG Road, Bengaluru 560001, Karnataka, India (CIN: U80903KA2017PTC102441). For the purposes of applicable data‑protection law, TopBitSchool Education Pvt. Ltd. is the data fiduciary of the personal information described in this policy.

You can contact our data‑protection team at privacy@topbitschool.org, or by post at the address above marked "Data Protection."

2. What information we collect

We collect personal information in three ways:

  • Information you give us directly when you fill in our contact or request‑information forms — typically your name, email address, telephone number (if provided), country, course of interest, and any message you choose to write.
  • Information collected automatically when you browse the site — such as your device type, browser, language, approximate location, and pages visited. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Notice).
  • Information from third‑party services such as analytics providers, who help us understand how the site is used in aggregate.

3. How we use your information

We process personal information only for clearly defined purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiry, send course information, and provide learner support.
  • To deliver, manage, and improve our educational programs and the website itself.
  • To comply with our legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or technical issues.
  • With your consent, to send you occasional educational updates and newsletters that you can unsubscribe from at any time.

4. Lawful bases for processing

Depending on the activity, we rely on the following lawful bases under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable Indian laws: your consent, the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating the school and improving our courses, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with carefully selected service providers who help us run the school — such as our email provider, our hosting provider, and our analytics provider. These providers are bound by contract to process the information only on our instructions and to protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, or a court order, and to protect the rights and safety of TopBitSchool, our learners, and the public.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers process information outside India. Where this happens, we use appropriate safeguards — such as Standard Contractual Clauses or transfers to jurisdictions notified by the Central Government — to ensure that your information remains protected to a comparable standard.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Enquiry data is typically held for up to twenty‑four months, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. Learner records related to enrolled courses are held for the duration of the learner relationship and for up to six years after, in line with our accounting and regulatory obligations.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Ask us to delete your information ("right to be forgotten") where appropriate.
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity, and lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@topbitschool.org. We will respond within one calendar month.

9. Security

We use appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access. These include access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), routine backups, and limited access to learner data by staff who need it for their roles. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we take our responsibilities seriously and review our practices regularly.

10. Children

Our courses are designed for adult learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Cookies and tracking

For details about the cookies and similar technologies used on this site, please see our Cookie Notice. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. When we make a material change, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, give notice on the website.
